I can't believe it has been an entire year since I did my first favourite things post. This year brings more gifts, goodies, and treats than last. Click on photos and linked words to shop everything!
1. Urban Decay Ultimate Basics
The Urban Decay palettes have been on Christmas lists for a few years now because of their perfectly matched colours and golden aesthetic. I surprisingly have never owned one, as I only really wear a few shades on my eyes, but that changed when they released the square, all matte, all naked, ultimate basics palette. It is the perfect array of colours for everyday to night. With soft pinks, a very trendy burgundy, and a deep lining black, I know this will be my go to palette to bring everywhere.
2. The Elder Statesman X NBA Sweaters
Vintage sports teams sweaters are the ultimate casual yet stylish look but Elder Statesmans has taken them to the next level for Barney’s New York by creating a capsule collection of cashmere vintage NBA sweaters, hats, and scarfs. They’re the most stylish and coziest way to get into sports for the season.
3. The New Coach
4. Sugar Black Tea Set
5. The Case Factory
6. Candy Cocktails
7. Fendi Mini Bags
The Fendi Spring show was one of my favourites of the season and with Fendi the accessories are all important. This year micro-bags are a massive trend, cross body or held by a couple fingers. Fendi has put out a range of micro-bags styled after their larger purses, such as the classic peek-a-boo bag. The key chain sized bags are truly adorable and can be paired with large straps to make wearable and the perfect gift.
8. Decedent Hampers
9. Urban Outfitters Party Dresses
10. Vintage Style Suit Cases
It would be much more glamorous to travel with hatboxes and vintage cases but sadly there’s no chance of getting them in the overhead baggage area. Global Trotter is a London luagage company that can give you both vintage charm and practicality. The hand crafted suitcases look like vintage trunks but are light and have a pull along handle, making them the perfect Instagram travel picture.
11. IPhone Rings
12. 70s Glasses
13. PJ for the Day
14. Best Friend Bags
This is the newest it girl bag made by the cutest it girls. Best friends Poppy Jamie and Suki Waterhouse created a pretty pink line of bags, jewelry, add ons for both, and called it Pop and Suki . The most coveted is the cotton candy pink camera bag with customizable bottom. I love the possible backpack straps, fanny pack straps, or thick shoulder strap. If you want matching ones for you and your bestie, or entire squad, the bundles are perfect.
15.Capture Your Style with Aimee Song
One of the first style bloggers I followed and looked up to, Aimee Song, has now written her first book, Capture Your Style. The book is a memoir and a ‘how to’ about crafting the perfect Instagram and how to have your unique voice heard in today’s social media.
I went to my very first street-wear clothing drop a few weeks ago when I was walking in Soho Christmas shopping. I saw the not too long line just as they were handing out wristbands and decided why not try. Palace has been one of my favorite street-wear brands since moving to London, for their collaboration and comfort, and ultimately not trying too hard. I managed to pick up pieces from the new Ultimo collection that I have been wearing them with thigh high boots and to the airport with leggings.
17. Single Black Line
For the Burberry Spring Show Cara Delavigne sported a single black line painted down her neck and chest and it set off a jewelry frenzy. There is something very sexy and elegant about the single line with a low V dress. You are now able to buy body chains that mimic the look, attach around the waist and as a choker.
18. Saint Laurent's Cross Body Bags
19. Matte Black Christmas
20. Gucci, Gucci, Gucci
21. Wilfred X Citizens
Citizens of Humanity make my favourite jeans and my rockets have lasted a lifetime. One of my other favourite brands is Wilfred, making the best sweaters I’ve ever owned. This season they have collaborated for Artizia to make Wilfred X Citizens jeans. The three styles, Aida, Cleo, and Liv come in super high-rise, skinny, and boyfriend wide leg. Now that I’m back in Canada I can’t wait to try them all on.
22. Switching Straps
So you’ve spent a small fortune on the Dolce and Gabbana or Fendi bag and it's timeless but it lacks a bit of flare? Well, brands have now answered this problem by creating interchangeable straps for your shoulder bag. Switch the colour, length, or add crystal flowers. This is the perfect way to make sure your bag can be in style every season and it’s as fun as changing your Barbie’s clothes was.
23. David's Tea Advent Calendar
This is the only favourite that I’ll be repeating from last year because it is honestly how I start every morning in December, with a different cup of Christmas themed tea from David's Tea. From Candy Cane Crush to Nutty and Spice the tea advent calendar will have you starting every morning in a Christmassy mood.
24. Best Lipstick, Best Shade, is Back
25. Snowy Get Away
