December has already been my craziest month since living here. Everything is hectic and fun with Christmas coming up. I am trying to give more attention to my over all blog from photos to writing, and my social media. I am loving it though! Now that I am settling its time to grow. And I've found myself settling in at Gail's Artisan Bakery on Portobello Road this month.

As you have probably noticed from my Instagram ( @sophbutterfield ) I had the experience of eating at Sketch this week, and an experience it was. I first heard of sketch when one of my favourite bloggers, Kristina Bazan (@kristina_bazan) of Kayture, Snap- chatted her outing saying, "everyone has told us we have to eat at sketch!" The restaurant was on everyones red stained lips this past London Fashion week, quickly becoming ones of London's most Instagramed eateries. The Gallery room, where I dined, is a room a wonder; from the art by British artist David Shirgley to the pink champagne cart. "I picked a teatox that claimed that I would not have to change my diet. All I would need to do was drink one cup in the morning and one cup every other night. 21 cups of tea in two weeks – easy."
Other than the comfort of bed, I try to write and blog in cafes. I find that purposely leaving my flat in order to get work done, though this the most fun work I’ve ever done, makes me focused and timely. Plus, I’m more likely to stay on a word document when there are people around me, than if I was at home where I can easily stumble into finding and watching an entire season of Dave the Barbarian online (it is an amazing cartoon and I highly recommend it). I’ve also discovered that having an English “Tea Time” has quickly become my favorite part of the day. So every month I am going to try and find a new café in London to write from and share with you where that is.
