When I booked my flight to LA last month the next thing I did was book my appointment at the dreamy ARE YOU AM I Loft.
ARE YOU AM I is the wardrobe for, “girls who get it” designed by Rumi Neely.
And the Loft is where you can buy these perfect pieces in the prettiest location. Ever wonder how a model looks so good in a white t-shirt? Well the shirt is probably ARE YOU AM I. The body-suits and off the shoulder tops can regularly be spotted on all the it-girls, from Kendall Jenner, to Bella Hadid, and Chiara Ferragni.
The Loft (the only place other than online to purchase ARE YOU AM I) is located in the fashion district of Down Town Los Angeles. The space is appointment only and you receive a completely private shopping experience. Even with the experience being so exclusive its not at all intimidating. You’re free to try on and take pictures at your own pace.
Now that I finally have some ARE YOU AM I pieces I’ll always make time to stop into the Loft whenever I’m in town and build my perfect wardrobe. Or if ARE YOU AM I is ever looking for someone to rent out that bed I’ll be first in line.
Now that the Christmas presents have been opened New Year's Eve is quickly approaching. While you may have your party plans all sorted your wardrobe may be in the need of something sparkly. I've rounded up the best frocks for the club or more formal parties that will all pair perfectly with a glass of champagne.
December is an incredible month for magazines, with all the gift guilds and holiday travel destinations. Having a break from school and a long flight back to Canada I was lucky to have the time to read so many articles and admire some amazing shoots. It was hard to pick my favourite for the month but it had to go to British cult magazine, Dazed and Confused.
Selfridges has been under construction for some time now, with winding blocked off areas there has been mystery around what will be uncovered this holiday season. This weekend I was able to get a peak at the new Accessory Hall.
The already decadent accessories area has now doubled in size and doubled in goodies. The new ground floor designed in affiliation with David Chipperfield Architects, which has designed Valentino’s Flagship stores and dozens of museums, is grand and elegant. Selfridges though isn’t afraid to have a bit of fun with design, making it my favourite London department store. Where this vibrant energy is created is through the designer boutiques that each have individual flare.
When I was a little girl I was obsessed with carrying a purse, moneyless but still stuffed full with goop and goodies that I could whip out at any given moment. Today my bag is literally the exact same way. I attempt not to make myself a human pack-horse, but by time I am ready to leave my flat I feel like I am inspector gadget. While the bottom of my bag is usually filled with scraps and coins, I have managed to create a list of my absolute needs; the can't leave the house withouts.
With fashion week less than a week away (I can not contain my excitement!) I thought it appropriate to write this post now. While I will do my best to only bring a small clutch to shows, here is what will be in my bag as I am running around throughout the week and what will keep me always ready when on the move.
With full stomachs and in new cozy PJs we go to sleep on Christmas night.... to dream of bargains and deals that Boxing Day will bring. Though you may be feeling a little worse for wear the morning of the 26th there are sales to shop bright and early from a lot of the top stores around the world. Boxing day may be a complete daze, at least it sure will be for me with a full day of working and of course shopping, but it is defiantly worth putting on those stretchy holiday pants and getting out to the packed streets. Here's my round up of where to shop this boxing day, in London and online.
