Outfits for London Fashion Week

Only one day of Fashion Week did not mean only one outfit. I crammed as much Fashion Week into one day as possible and his included outfit changes. Merely having one outfit post for all of Fashion Month – detrimental. This season I had three outfits that I could change into in coffee shops toilets and layer under each other for quick changes. I decided on two completely different outfits for the Sid Niegum and Oliver Spencer shows, and a separate look for the after party and dinner at Sketch.
Firstly, for the Neigum day time show I went with a vintage inspired ensemble. Baby blue vintage baby blue Gucci trousers, which I got for a steal at a consignment store in San Francisco, and Elvis mug shot t-shirt from the men’s section of Urban Outfitters. One of my favorite upcoming trend pieces of the fall is the black sailor hat. You can see them in collections from Saint Laurent to Gigi x Tommy, and mine from Aritzia.

For the closing show of Fashion Week, Oliver Spencer, I took inspiration from menswear, fitting for the event. A popular trend in menswear these past few years has been the sportswear influence, and in more recent seasons the use of sportswear in suits. In a recent article in Esquire they touched on the idea of a sports jacket under a blazer, which made me curious what the applications could be  to women’s wear. I decided to try the look out with a classic red Adidas sports jacket paired with a jersey black blazer and silk black joggers, both again from Aritzia.
As the day came to an end I shed the Adidas jacket and blazer to wear a classic low back American Apparel body suit and the same silk pants. Paired with a silk thin black scarf, going for a classic yet cool evening look. Through out the whole day I wore Madden cage heels, and while at then end of the day my feet hurt they transitioned perfectly from outfit to outfit, to get me from show to show.

These are the most viral outfits which had been introduced in this fashion week and I love them. I have seen majority using the same outfit but in different colors and styles.
